Brazilian entomologist, PhD in Entomology, Associate Professor of UFPel (Universidade Federal de Pelotas, Brazil), Productivity Researcher of CNPq (Brazilian National Council for Scientific and Technological Development), author of more than 140 scientific articles, 11 chapters and 7 books. He supervised postdocs, master's degrees and PhD theses. in Entomology, PPG in Plant Protection and PPG in Animal Biology at UFPel. His research areas are Agricultural Entomology, Applied Ecology, and Applied Zoology. Research mainly on fruit flies (Tephritidae) and Drosophila suzukii (Drosophilidae).
